Kathryn Riedinger Original Oils

Kathryn Marsh Riedinger lives and paints in Ketchum, Idaho with her husband, Kirk, and their three children. She has studied extensively at the Art Students League of Denver with noted artists Quang Ho, Kevin Wechbach, Doug Dawson, Kim English, Margaretta Gilboy and Mark Daily. In addition, Kathryn has attended the workshops of landscape painters Jay Moore and Tim Deibler. In 2009, the family moved to Paris and travelled extensively throughout Europe. Now working on a collection of studio pieces derived from a combination of plein air and photographs, she is turning her focus onto figurative and urban scenes as well as landscapes.
With an emphasis on color, Kathy paints her subjects with a blend of realism and captured light that carries the scene into the imagination of the viewer. She paints plein air and in the studio, where larger canvases are composed from the studies she has completed on location. Her landscapes are lasting impressions of the beauty of the West which she hopes to share with you.
